DescriptionJoin us at Coon Bluff December 9th for a 2-hour Night-O course. A Night-O is the same as a Score-O, but in the dark! So dress warmly and bring your headlamps, flashlights and extra batteries! Further information concerning Night-O events is found here. The Coon Bluff Night-O starts from the gravel parking lot just north of the intersection of the Bush Highway and Phon D. Sutton Road (see Directions. Check-in and on-site registration starts at 05:00 PM. Please note that we'll have a limited number of pre-printed maps. While we'll have some extra maps, we cannot guarantee that we'll have enough for those who do not pre-register. We strongly suggest you pre-register to ensure we have a map reserved for you. Click here to pre-register. We will have compasses for rent and whistles for purchase. There will be one water stop on the course. We will set plenty of controls for you to find. Registration begins at 5PM. At 5:45 we'll have a pre-race briefing to hand out maps and warn participants of any dangers they might encounter. At 6 PM there will be a mass start of all participants. The race will last 2 hours. The course will close at 8 PM. Parental Consent:

In order to promote pre-registration for our events, the Club has implemented a new pricing structure. Participants who pre-register for the event will benefit from our priority pricing. While on-site registration is still available, pricing for on-site registration is more expensive. In addition, we'll print some extra maps for each of our events, but we cannot guarantee a map for those who do not pre-register.

Illumination Device | Each participant is required to travel with a headlamp, flashlight, or other device that will illuminate their travel route. |
Spare batteries/spare flashlight | It goes without saying that you won't be very happy if your headlamp or flashlight batteries fail while you're in the middle of the open desert. We strongly suggest you bring spare batteries that will fit your specific device. |
Water | There will be water at the start/finish . We may also have one or two water stations on the course. However, you are strongly encouraged to bring your own water bottles or a camelback. |
