Introduction

On Saturday and Sunday, February 9 and 10, 2019 we're presenting another series of events at our sites around the Black Canyon of the Agua Fria River. On Saturday, we will use our Rock Springs event site for 3 short- to middle-distance "sprints". Those feeling a little more energetic can combine all three sprints into a Motala. The Rock Springs event site is at a higher elevation than most of our sites. The vegetation is sometimes thick in the rugged terrain around the Agua Fria River. We recommend you wear pants to avoid contact with the sharp vegetation.

Later on Saturday, we'll move to our Little Pan event site for a 2-hour Score-O. The vegetation at Little Pan is slightly less thick than the vegetation at Rock Springs. We still recommend you wear pants.

Finally, we finish up the weekend with a 3-hour/1:00 PM Score-O. We designed the course as a 2-hour Score-O, but because of the ruggedness of the terrain, we'll give participants up to 3 hours to complete the course, or until 1:00 PM, whichever comes first. If you want the full 3 hours, you need to start the course by 10:00 AM.

We have a full schedule of events at our Black Canyon events sites. We hope you'll consider joining us for a weekend of navigation fun.

Pre-Registration

In order to promote pre-registration for our events, the Club has implemented a new pricing structure. Participants who pre-register for the event will benefit from our priority pricing. While on-site registration is still available, pricing for on-site registration is more expensive. In addition, we'll print some extra maps for each of our events, but we cannot guarantee a map for those who do not pre-register.

Pre-Registration is open until Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:59 PM. After the pre-registration closes, you can still try your luck and register on-site. We will have pre-printed maps for everyone who pre-registers. We cannot guarantee a map for those who register on-site.

Parental Consent:

Parental Consent Now Required (Click here for more information)

All participants under age 18 are now required to have a signed parental consent form on file with the club. You can complete the form before the event and either scan it and send it to us by e-mail or bring it with you to the event.
