The North Mountain Visitor Center is in the North Mountain Preserve located in the middle of the City of Phoenix.
One of the main attractions of the park is the ability to experience a true desert mountain environment without
traveling outside of the Phoenix metro area. Short Description:
The North Mountain Visitor Center is located on the west side of 7th Street, 0.6 miles south of Thunderbird. |

(I-17 S to Thunderbird) Traveling southbound on the Black Canyon Freeway (I-17), exit at Thunderbird Road (exit 210). Travel east on Thunderbird 3.1 miles to 7th Street. Travel south on 7th Street 0.6 miles to the North Mountain Visitor Center on the west side of 7th Street. View Google Map |

(Loop 101 E or W to 7th Street) Traveling eastbound or westbound on the Loop 101, exit at 7th Street (exit 26). Travel south on 7th Street 4.3 miles to Thunderbird, then continue an extra 0.6 miles to the North Mountain Visitor Center on the west side of 7th Street. View Google Map |

(AZ 51 S to Cactus)
Traveling southbound on AZ 51 (Piestewa Freeway), exit at Cactus Road (exit 10). Travel west on Cactus 1.5 miles to where it turns into Thunderbird Road. (At Cave Creek Road. Don't turn on Cave Creek!) Continue west (straight) on Thunderbird 1.8 miles to 7th Street. Travel south on 7th Street 0.6 miles to the North Mountain Visitor Center on the west side of 7th Street.
