28 Orienteers participated in the 3-hour score-o event at Robbins Butte. There were a total of 34 controls set, and with an "equivalent distance" course length of 20 km, this proved to be a challenge to sweep the course within the 3 hour limit. Erik Ringnes came the closest, getting all but the three controls located out in the far southeast corner of the map.
The weather was a bit chilly at first, but sunny, and turned out to be a good day to be out in the field.
There were quite a few new faces out on the course, and several of the teams did quite well for a first time outing. We hope to see them again at future events.
NOTE: Of the 15 entries for the event, 7 signed up as "recreational". The scores and finish for the the remaining 8 entries appear below.
