We use a conference room at the Cholla Library in Phoenix for our beginner's orienteering classes. The classroom training combined with practice at one of our outdoor events provide beginner's with an excellent opportunity to improve their navigation skills.

Directions

The Cholla Library is located within view of the Metro Center Mall, just northeast of the mall on Metro Parkway. The nearest cross-streets are I-17 and Peoria Avenue (southwest corner).

To get to the Mesquite Library:

I-17 (Black Canyon Freeway):
  • Exit I-17 at Peoria Avenue (exit 208).
  • Travel west on Peoria Avenue less than 0.5 miles to 28th Avenue.
  • Turn south on 28th Avenue and travel less than 0.3 miles to the stoplight. Continue straight through the stoplight PAST Metro Parkway to the loop road surrounding Metro Center Mall.
  • Turn left on the Metro Center loop road. The Cholla Library is located less than 0.1 miles on the left.
