The Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area is located on the banks of the Salt River just south of downtown Phoenix. The park extends along the river from 19th Avenue in the west to the I-10 overpass east of 24th Street in the east. The City has invested several million dollars to upgrade the park facilities and restore the habitat along the Salt River. The park has a number of new facilities for exploring the area.
Short Description:
The Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Aeaa is located just south of Central Phoenix, less than half a mile south of I-17.

The events start at the equestrian staging and trailhead parking area on the northeast corner of the bridge where 7th Avenue crosses the Salt River.

Travel west on I-17 past the eastern junction of I-10 and I-17 From the I-10/I-17 junction (just south of the airport), follow I-17 west along the south side of downtown Phoenix, then:
