Lake Pleasant Score-O

Thanks to all for coming out for a beautiful day at Lake Pleasant. There was not a cloud in the sky and the temperature was perfect for running. We had a good showing with 19 teams and 30 individuals plus one dog out in the terrain. Folks came from Flagstaff, Prescott, Heber, and Tucson. Ludwig got the most points, perhaps the 5-10 minutes he spent planning before going out really helps. Although I think he must run fast too.

One comment from some participants were to change the allowed time from 2 to 3 hours next year. Consider that done. 2 hours is just not enough time. Secondly, even though the controls were supposed to be away from the blacktop were the target practice takes place, we still got reports of close encounters with the shooters. The map will be updated and the controls will be moved further west next year. We want to avoid any issues and be safe.

Next event is December 9th at Saguaro Lake. The terrain out there is great. See you then.
