Thumb Butte Orienteering Results
May 3-4, 2014

We had outstanding weather and enjoyed great mountain air for our Orienteering weekend near Thumb Butte in Prescott. The "Sprint" course on Saturday was lightly attended, but this course turned out to be a popular alternative on Sunday.
Thanks much to the volunteers for helping with equipment setup, registration, and control retrieval. Derrick Beracy receives special "iron man" recognition for his turnout on Sunday. On Saturday, he finished in first place in his age group for the Whiskey Row full marathon (3:50:47), and then ran the Red course on Sunday morning--and helped retrieve some "out there" controls in the afternoon!
