Introduction

Events

We're excited to offer another day of navigation fun at the Fay Ridge Trailhead, just southeast of Flagstaff, AZ off Lake Mary Road. On Saturday, July 13, we're offering a 3-hour Score-O in the cool pine forest surrounding the trailhead. The Score-O is a longer event with participants traveling to as many destinations as possible within the three-hour time limit. The map will present some challenging navigation to avoid areas with difficult terrain.

The mountain forests around 7000 feet make the Fay Ridge Trailhead a perfect place to enjoy the cool summer temperatures around Flagstaff. The orienteering terrain is challenging in places as the course winds in and out of the drainages surrounding the trailhead. There are also plenty of areas of flat and open pine forest to challenge your navigation skills. We hope you'll take some time from your busy schedules to join us and explore the area.
